A WORD ABOUT SIZES....

The dimensions of the photographs are different than those of the paper they’re printed on. The image size, consequently, is smaller than the paper size. If the image covered the entire area of the paper,  you’d lose some of the image on either the top and bottom or the left and right.  This way, you get a smaller, but complete, image.  It's similar to the widescreen option on your DVD.  If you're watching True Romance, you don't want to see Christian Slater's head cut off, do you?  I mean, unless it's actually part of the movie.  Which it's not, by the way.  Great movie.  (CLASSIC Dennis Hopper scene....whoa.) Also, check out Beautiful Girls, which is packed to the gills with stars including with Matt Dillon, Uma Thurman, and a young Natalie Portman.   And what a soundtrack.  Yeah.  Netflix that bad boy.
